Whenever I find myself having a hard day, I find myself losing control of my perception of a given situation. Our brain can play games with what we think and feel is the truth. I find this thought exercise by Byron Katie to be grounding. Whenever experiencing strife and difficulty, I invite you to ask these 4 questions:

  1. Is it true?

  2. Can you absolutely know it's true?

  3. How do you react—what happens—when you believe that thought?

  4. Who would you be without the thought?
